Mine works like a debit card. A little chip holds as much as you have and you get paid at a job by putting it in a slot at the end of the week.You can also give people money by putting two together.

We use Aftons.The money has a microchip in it that needs to be registered at a federal bank making it near impossible to counterfeit.Its mostly paper

My money consists of coins and thin short bars, they are backed by themselves, each coin is made up of 75% precious metal and 10 % a metal to help it last, bars are 90% precious metal.

It doesn't matter, currency needs to be 1. valuable, or backed by something valuable. Or it's worthless. 2. durable, so it can last. 3. Practable, I'm sure no one want's to haul around a about 5,000 or so of those to go get groceries.
