LU Launch party to be held in LEGO Stores? Empty LU Launch party to be held in LEGO Stores?

OK, so at the LEGO Store in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, a senior employee mentioned to me that there would be a special in-store event for the launch of LU, but he didn't know the exact details yet. Can anyone find out more information about this? I.E. if this is an event for all LEGO stores or just this one, and what kind of stuff will be going on? I'm sure we'll all appreciate any information anyone can dig up. Wink

Hmm. I live close to Disneyland, but I don't have the time to go. I think they/Lego people would announce it when it happens.

how would this work?as in,what would you do besides count down for the opening?Would lots of computers be up and people would log in all at the same time?sounds.......a little,odd....

Some more information.

According to wikipedia,
1 month-6 months-12 months

^^LU subscription prices.

Anyways LU comes out in October 26th next month.
It's gunna be like a world of warcraft.

The celebration is probably going to be like past lego store celebrations I've seen. Discount, selling of LU, and allowing people to play with the legos like before, but with more legos.

Since the Lego store is in Disneyland don't you have to pay for visiting Disneyland or they just let you go to the Lego store?

It's not IN Disneyland, it's in the Downtown Disney shopping district just outside of Disneyland. Access is free, but you have to pay for parking (or walk a loooooooong way from a public parking spot, if you can find one).

LU opens on my birthday, and it's sort of a family tradition to go to the Disneyland Resort on birthdays, so I'm like 90% certain I'll be there...

I also received a mail regarding LU, but it was about something others. It was about my prize for the contest. Probably you can't PM me the name to check up if it was the same worker that sent the mail to us, but for a different message.

I think it had something to do with living close to a LEGO store. I live near the Glendale Galleria store, so I get a lot of their mailings. Although, I've never actually been there...I prefer the store near Disneyland. ^_^

OK, so I'm back from the Lego store... I got LOTS of cool LU loot, including a special case for the promotional cards that give you in-game awards, which came with a special access card that gives you access to further LU events! Also, that LU rocket set that I mentioned? It ALSO came with a LU promo card, which means if you see me in LU, there's a good chance you'll see it in-game as well. I also bought the Prima Games LU game guide. Apparently, Lego has quite a few LU promotions planned for the near future... Wink
