Is Lego Universe worth buying?
I am slightly considering the idea of purchasing LU, but I'm not sure if that would be a wise purchase decision for me. If someone could explain what all you do in the game, it would definitely help my decision. Thanks in advance.

Well basically you can have 4 characters. You travel to different worlds and complete missions, collect flags and imagination bricks. You work up faction ranks. You can get properties in 5 different locations. You can trade items too!

Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
At $10, I'd say... go for it.
There's definitely enough to do for that price. If you wanna know the basics of what goes on in LU, try looking up videos of it. There's videos showing off pretty much every square inch of it out there.

Hmm, I'll consider it, judging by the reasonable price. Is that a one time price for permanent full access to LU, or is it a monthly fee?Soundragon wrote:At $10, I'd say... go for it.

Or $7.50/mo. if you buy membership in bulk...

What do you mean by "in bulk"?
Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
If you buy a year's membership at once, you end up *technically* paying $7.50/mo. But it's like $85 up front, so... yeah.SupremeCommanderSturm wrote:Soundragon wrote:$10/mo.SupremeCommanderSturm wrote:Sounds fun!Roddy15 wrote:Well basically you can have 4 characters. lol
I don't think I would go for that. I might buy it for one month just to try it out sometime, though.
Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
You also get a free month of access with the game, so that';; give you time to decide if you want to pay more money for subscription.
I've found that, as long as I have plenty of free time (i.e. over summer and winter break), LU is WELL worth $10 for a month.

Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
I also wouldn't buy the disc form lego.com there are plenty of better deals for the disc. Though I believe Americans get it half price everyone outside of the US should go to Amazon.
It is well worth the money though since it gets updated every month or two.

Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
Actually, right now the game disk is on sale from Lego for $9.99.
I would jump on that offer if I were you...
EDIT: ...AND with Free shipping! Wow, Lego is really offering a good deal!

Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
LEGO Universe is certainly the best MMO I have played, but if you can not play Monthly Payment Games and LU Lags on your Comp then I suggest you try Roblox, or if you want a more quest driven game (kind of like LU) then I suggest Wizard101 or FreeRealms (LU is like a fusion of Roblox and FreeRealms)

Re: Is Lego Universe worth buying?
The Dev team was taken over last days, otherwise they were all fired and there was no LU anymore. I should wait for the demo before buying it.SupremeCommanderSturm wrote:I am slightly considering the idea of purchasing LU, but I'm not sure if that would be a wise purchase decision for me. Yes but to American people only.... LEGO is Danish it's not Apple . I would still say the subscription is way.... to much for anyone who has a new government that wants to cut everyone but that's another story. It's a great game but the sub is just too high, I spoke to a BB last night telling them that club penguin was half the price (in euro) and they didn't seem to care about it.
