Lego Universe Goes Gold!
LEGO Universe Goes Gold, Celebrates at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) 2010
Fans get creative with faction action and mini-games in the upcoming LEGO MMOG.
September 2, 2010
Press Release
LEGO Universe, the first MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) based on the LEGO play experience, will be on display at PAX this weekend! Fans can stop by the Gazillion booth (in hall 4B, booth 3433) from September 3rd - 5th to check out playable live demos, snag special-edition giveaways, and chat with members of the LEGO Universe development team on the show floor.
The LEGO Group is also pleased to announce that LEGO Universe has officially gone gold, meaning the game has surpassed quality standards and is being prepped for mass distribution this fall! Currently in closed beta for PC and Mac, LEGO Universe will ship to North American retail stores on October 26, 2010 with an ESRB rating of "E10+".
In the upcoming MMOG, the chaotic Maelstrom threatens to destroy all Imagination in the Universe! Only a courageous team of heroes, the Nexus Force, stands in its way, but they desperately need your help. Brand-new screenshots released this week at PAX take you even further into the game's backstory – the Maelstrom's darkness is spreading across LEGO Universe as enemy Stromlings battle the Nexus Force in the deepest corners of Forbidden Valley and beyond.
Two recently released LEGO Universe gameplay videos highlight character customization among the four Factions of the Nexus Force alliance, and mini-games in the MMOG. From a shooting gallery and fast-paced racing to pet taming and battle games, there are plenty of distractions at play on your adventure to save Imagination from the menacing Maelstrom in LEGO Universe.
And finally, two recently released LEGO Universe trailers invite viewers behind the scenes. In the Building & Behaviors video, you'll hear from the developers about bringing creations to life in LEGO Universe. And in the LUP (World Builder) video, you'll meet fan and partner Steve Barker to see fan co-creation in action.

Surpassed quality standards, huh? *grumbles about respawn issues and the insane difficulty of forbidden Valley...*
Re: Lego Universe Goes Gold!
Lol! Well i agree with it surpassing standard quality. I mean,i have played a lot of mmo games in the past and they are no where near as great as LU. The funny thing is i still find glitches in mmo's that have been there for years.
And yet LU is better then most games now,and they will only be getting better and better.
