Another oil leak, eh.....
I just read on Yahoo! news that a new leak had been reported from the Gulf of Mexico.
For the whole article click this link:

Another leak is not good for the sea-animals and those creatures that live near the shore.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Is this from BP again? Man, the clean-up crew will really have their hands full =/
EDIT: Why in the world would any oil company put a well-head only 6 feet below the surface? This was near bound to happen IMO.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
It is one of the biggest disasters ever, I don't know how long it would take to get everything back to normal. People that live near the Gulf wouldn't be happy.
Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Well the reports haven't been confirmed yet, so we can still hope that it's not as bad as they say.
Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
I've heard that the (ex-)boss of BP told us that it wasn't bad at all, but he lied. It is seriously bad, the disaster is probably the worst ever.
I don't see any future anymore in this company, they lost alot of money.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Earlier in the news today, they posted that EVERY SINGLE BP STATION around London had to be shut due to the leak.
EDIT: Here's the article for above. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100727/tuk-greenpeace-close-bp-petrol-stations-45dbed5.html

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
"The oil spill liability trust fund has been enacted to provide monetary support for any clean-up operation." Quoted from first article.
Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Arggh, how can they do that. That boss of the company earns money enough!
Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
You can blame the politicians that put up the law, not the oil companies. Basically it's just insurance in use.
What I want to know is why they can't just stop all of the oil flow.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
For which states/countries is that law, actually?
It is because it is underwater, which is more difficult to close the gap. I just don't know why a simple workman find the solution to solve it when the engeneers don't find the solution. But it looks like it's not solved yet. This is also a big work to get it closed, they may not make a mistake because there are others 2 gaps. It also must be strong material because the water can break the solution they found again. There is a pressure of the water and probably one for the oil.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Well, the thing is that the BP oil in UK isn't cheap. It's about 121.2 per litre (I think...) I think from what I gather is that BP oil in UK is the most expensive...

I heard at one point it was 25,000 barrels of oil a DAY
Green peace (For those of you who don't know who they are, are extreme protestors trying to protect the environment)
have vandalized and virtually closed BP fuel/gas stations around London
Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
Well, see this video here which explains what they do to the animals near the shore.

Re: Another oil leak, eh.....
This oil spill stuff is serious. It's going to affect the ocean around the US greatly. Therefore, my opinion of BP at the moment:
